André Dubonnet's Hispano-Suiza wins an award at Pebble Beach

STORY - As is often the case, a French story was honored at the most prestigious elegance competition in the world.
A year after awarding the Best of Show to the Bugatti 59 Grand Prix car purchased by the King of the Belgians at the end of his racing career in 1937, the judges of the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, held on the Monterey golf course in California , rewarded another glory of our French history: the Hispano-Suiza H6C torpedo commanded by André Dubonnet, known as "Duby", in 1924.
While some heirs indulge in a life of idleness, this is not the case for the younger grandson of Joseph Dubonnet, the man who founded, during the second half of the 19th century, the aperitif brand bearing his name and famous for having invaded the public space in the 1930s with its advertising slogan "Dubo, Dubon, Dubonnet." André led a hectic life.
