Two years after the disappointment at home against Senegal (0-0, 4-5 on penalties), Algeria is back in the hunt for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) title.

In their opening match, the Greens will face Uganda at the Mandela National Stadium, on the outskirts of Kampala, the country's capital. This Monday, August 4, this match kicks off Group C, which also features Niger, Guinea, and South Africa.

The two teams have already met in the past. The Fennecs lead the record with seven wins, compared to three for the Ugandan team. They also have four draws. Their last meeting dates back to 2024 and ended in a 2-1 victory for Algeria.

This Monday, August 4, the African Nations Championship (CHAN) match between Algeria and Uganda is scheduled for 7 p.m. (French time). The match will be broadcast live on BeIN Sports Max 4.
