Two triathletes from Dordogne took up the XXL challenge of the Hautes-Alpes, in Embrun

Mathis Rollin and Fabrice Lopez, members of the CA Périgueux triathlon association, both completed the 41st edition of the Embrunman, considered one of the most demanding triathlons in the world. On the program: a 3.8 km swim before sunrise in the Embrun lake (Hautes-Alpes), a 188 km bike ride with the ascent of the Col de l'Izoard, and a final marathon. All in the mountains! An extraordinary challenge, as much physical as mental.
Mathis completed his very first XXL format in 14h25'10. At just 25 years old and after only two years of triathlon, he impresses with his maturity and mental strength. A stunning entry into the Embrunman legend.
Fabrice Lopez, 50, confirmed his taste for long-term challenges by crossing the finish line in 15h37'30, improving his time compared to his previous participation. This is proof of consistency, rigor, and unwavering passion. A great source of inspiration, in commitment and self-improvement, for all CAP triathlon members.
