Teddy Riner's coach accused of sexual assault

Judoka and French number three in her weight category, LM, 24, was eagerly awaiting this Wednesday, September 10. Today, in fact, her former club coach, whom she blames for "sexual assault and retention of images obtained through an invasion of privacy," must explain himself before a committee on youth, sports and community life.
This commission must issue an opinion, which will then be forwarded to the departmental prefect. The latter may decide to temporarily suspend the coach, permanently ban him from practicing his profession, or exempt him from any measure. This decision is subject to appeal. The procedure was initiated following a report from the French Judo Federation and Associated Disciplines (FFJDA) to the Ministry of Sports.
LM explained to Le Monde that she had also filed a complaint against ED in the spring of 2024. She was provided with free accommodation, food, and laundry at the trainer's house, and had discovered a miniature camera hidden in a sock on a shelf in the bathroom that she alone used.
