Sanction confirmed, the Six-Fours-Le Brusc football club sees its dream of promotion disappear
A new blow for President Stéphane Durel and his CEO Christophe Orso, who were heard by the commission.
And a real blow for this club which, after a tough sporting struggle, achieved first place in the championship, synonymous with promotion to the next level for the first time in its history.
"We currently receive a subsidy of 33,000 euros from the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis," the director explains. "If we are promoted to National 3, the Metropolis has promised to increase its subsidy to 95,000 euros. We are obviously delighted and satisfied with this increase. Except that for the DNCG, it's just a promise. As long as it hasn't been voted on, they don't take it for granted. As a result, they're refusing to let us move up on this point of the file."
It is not clear that a solution will be found quickly, as the club has two weeks to contact the French National Olympic Sports Committee (CNOSF) and have the decision changed.
"I can assure you that we will continue to fight," Mr. Durel firmly assures.
