Saint-Genis-de-Saintonge: a festival to discover the associations of the Sivu “Les P'tits Loups”

On September 13, the 13 municipalities of Sivu will come together for a festive event highlighting local associations and services offered to families

On Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 13 municipalities of the Sivu "Les P'tits Loups" (1) will meet for a second meeting bringing together the area's associations. Last year, the event - co-financed by the Caf - was called "Associations Forum." The municipalities all found this name too off-putting.

This year, the "Festi' Familles et Asso's-Services" event is replacing it, and everyone will meet on the Champ-de-foire square. The name has changed, but the format remains the same. "We want to promote games and allow families to spend an intergenerational and festive time," explains Claire Petit, territorial cooperation officer.

A quick reminder: the idea of the "social territorial project" emerged in 2022. It was in this context that "Les P'tits Loups" created this event, and that its first edition was a success which proves that it was expected.

The great journey

This year, 26 local associations and services are participating, compared to 22 last year, and the event is only expected to grow over the years. Sports, cultural, and service associations are all involved. At their stand, each association offers introductions, activities, and challenges, and Claire Petit has created a family treasure hunt that takes place from stand to stand, with puzzles... Giant wooden games will be supervised by professionals, Temps' danse 17, and the majorettes of the Bâtons de l'Estuaire will be performing. Food and refreshments will be provided by Lez' Arts genésiens and the Leisure Committee so you can spend a whole day discovering the canton's vital forces, and like last year, the Abac' art company is back. It will perform its show "Le grand voyage."
