Saint-Brieuc-PSG: accelerated rehabilitation, bruised body… Why Lucas Hernandez is struggling to find his grinta

A little over two months after returning to competition, the 29-year-old French defender has shown his physical limits in recent weeks. A logical and expected backlash by both the Parisian staff and the player who should be a starter this Wednesday (9:10 p.m.) in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.

This Wednesday, February 26, Lucas Hernandez will most likely start the quarter-final of the Coupe de France against Saint-Brieuc, a club from National 2 (4th French division). The PSG defender will certainly take advantage of the turnover usually made by Luis Enrique in the competition to gain playing time during this match, which is more reserved for understudies than executives.

This is the new life of the 2018 world champion, who arrived in Paris in the summer of 2023 as a potential starter and has now been relegated to the hierarchy of defenders since his return to competition on December 10 in Salzburg.
