Saint-Jean-d'Angély, Ré, Saintes, the Saintes reserve and that of Puilboreau play on Sunday May 18
In Esvres (Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m.), after eliminating Plouzané in the 32nd round (43-31) and then Stade Bordelais in the 16th round (33-31), the reserve team of the Rugby Club de Puilboreau will face Clamart in the 8th finals, a team that finished 4th in group 18. Accustomed to this competition where they won the shield in 2023, the players of the coaching duo Pouvreau - Vezine will be motivated to continue their journey.
Victorious over Quimper 25 to 22 (with 15 points from Tanguy Chalard), the Saintes reserve team also continues its race and will face in the 16th, the same day at 1:30 p.m. in Fontenay-le-Comte, RC Saint-Herblain, who atomized Grandchamp in the previous round. In Regional 1, in the 32nd (Sunday at 3 p.m.) in Saint-Magne-de-Castillon, a big challenge for the Saintes, who will face Moissac, the champion of Occitanie. The Moissagais, who have lost only one match in the group, will be the logical favorites.
For its part, Rugby Athletic Club Angérien (Sunday, 3 p.m. in Argenton-sur-Creuse) will face Orléans la Source, the Central champion who has reached the Federal 3. Here too, Raca, who like Saintes have not played for a month, will face a serious opponent. In the 32nd round of Regional 2 (Sunday at 3 p.m. in Fontenay-le-Comte), Ré will face Guenrouet.
