PSG: Death of former Parisian leader and ex-mayor of Cannes Bernard Brochand

In 1971, he joined the PSG board of directors alongside Daniel Hechter, the club's first president, and other historic leaders such as Alain Cayzac and Charles Talar. "A communications specialist, he became president of the Rouge et Bleu Association in 1991, after negotiating the arrival of the Canal+ group" as owner of PSG, the club recalled in a statement on its website.
Bernard Brochand led the association until 2001. He was also mayor of Cannes from 2001 to 2014 and deputy (under the label of the Gaullist parties RPR, UMP then LR) of the 8th constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes from 2001 to 2022. First delegated president of the PSG under the Canal+ era, Michel Denisot hailed, in a message on X, "a fervent servant in love with the PSG before and with Canal+" .
