OGC Nice: Guessand and Youssouf named Aiglons of the season by supporters

Guessand and Ndayishimiye, two names Gym fans couldn't decide between to elect the Aiglon of the 2024-25 season. The duo succeeds Marcin Bulka, who was crowned last season. After the trophy ceremony held at the Business Club's end-of-season garden party, the Aiglons will be in the spotlight on Saturday at the Allianz, against Brest.
Top scorer (12 goals, 11 in L1) and second in assists (7 assists, 6 in L1) in the squad with one matchday left in the season, Evann Guessand has exploded under the orders of Franck Haise. The most used outfield player (2997 minutes in all competitions), the striker has also asserted himself with the Ivorian national team, playing in every match this season and opening his goal tally with the Elephants… against Youssouf Ndayishimiye's Burundi.
The other big man of the season. Vice-captain of the squad, "the wall of Bujumbura" assumed his responsibilities, match after match. Used in all positions in the back four, he also toughened his tone in key moments. His goal in Strasbourg (Matchday 29, 2-2) was one of the turning points of the season, the one in Paris validated a remarkable victory (Matchday 31, 3-1) and created momentum.
Suffering a cruciate ligament injury in the aftermath, the Burundian international ended the year in pain, before beginning the path that will bring him back to the field with his characteristic determination. Finally, having already won the trophy last season, Tom Louchet confirmed his status as the best young player.
