Manchester United wants to make a big impact and targets a Frenchman from Real Madrid for 80 million

The end of the transfer window promises to be intense for the major European teams.

Manchester United have decided to make a big move in the final days of the transfer window. The English club have reportedly targeted 22-year-old Eduardo Camavinga as a priority to strengthen their midfield. Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim sees the French international as the ideal fit for his 3-4-2-1 system, with a player capable of bringing energy, balance, and intelligence to the game alongside Casemiro.

But the situation is shaping up to be complex. Camavinga is tied to Real Madrid until 2029 and remains a key player for Xabi Alonso. However, his repeated physical problems and the fierce competition in Madrid's midfield (Bellingham, Tchouaméni, Valverde, Güler, Ceballos) leave uncertainty surrounding his place in the rotation.

Aware of the situation, Manchester United says it is ready to submit an offer of around €80 million, an amount that could give Madrid's management pause. Having given up on Carlos Baleba (Brighton) and Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace), who were too difficult to dislodge, the Manchester management are now focusing their efforts on Camavinga.

The recent defeat to Arsenal highlighted the weaknesses in United's midfield. Amorim insists that a reinforcement is needed who can support Bruno Fernandes and improve the attacking play. With an estimated budget of €150 million for two signings, Camavinga is the top priority.

The fact remains that Real Madrid isn't closing the door, but is setting a red line: the player is not for sale, except in the case of an exceptional offer. However, in the corridors of the Bernabéu, it is recognized that an offer of around 80 million would be difficult to ignore, both for the economic contribution and for the prospects of reinvestment...
