Here's everything you need to know about the 27th edition of Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, which will begin on September 27th.

Soon to be hoisted into the Saint-Tropez sky. In a month, the Voiles de Saint-Tropez will return to their home port for the 27th edition of this event, which brings together nearly 4,000 sailors and welcomes thousands of visitors each year.
Event that marks the end of the nautical season in the Mediterranean.
The main features of Les Voiles have been retained this year. 19 classes of boats are listed, competing within three fleets: Traditions (or Classics), Moderns and Maxis.
The Maxis field looks formidable this year, with some very beautiful and large units. But, as every year, it is in all categories that we will find or rediscover original, surprising, magnificent and very photogenic units.
Very large unitsSpecialists will be keeping a keen eye on Lyndsay Owen-Jones' new boat, Magic Carpet , a concentrate of technology, and on Atlantic . This immense 64.5-meter-long sailboat is back in the waters of Saint-Tropez.
In terms of entertainment, this year we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of Club 55. The legendary Pampelonne beach was, via Patrice de Colmont, the origin of the Nioulargue, born from the challenge of Ikra and Pride in front of the islet of Nioulargo...
And so history was written, adding a marine page to the others, that of a family settling on the sand, that of a shoot revealing a star, that of an establishment almost immutable and faithful to its roots.
Another anniversary to celebrate is that of the Rolex Trophy, one of the races within the race, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Since 2006, this Trophy has brought together historic sailing ships, princes of the sea, linked by the nautical watchmaking tradition that Rolex has developed on all the seas of the world.
This year, the trophy brings together the largest units of the Voiles, including Atlantic , of course, in order to find a successor to Shenandoah (54 meters), winner in 2022 of the Trophy.
Atmosphere at sea and on landFor the rest, and since we were talking about the notion of loyalty so dear to Saint-Tropez, the poster for this edition features a painting by Jacques Cordier.
There could not have been a better way to make the connection with the local heritage, even if history is a living tradition as Simone Duckstein, Cépoun, Patrice de Colmont or any sailor present on the mahogany decks always know how to cultivate it at the end of September.
Music, lively evenings, Voiles bar, crew parade... We're not changing a winning formula, just like the location of the Village des Voiles, now firmly anchored to the Jean-Réveille jetty.
The wind is changing, blowing, summer is beginning to fold its wings, autumn is not far off. And the sails are filling up, approaching, heading for Saint-Tropez!
The event will kick off on Saturday, September 27th with the reception of the various fleets.
The next day, the last boats will enter the port. At the same time, the Yacht Club de France Autumn Cup (Cannes, Saint-Tropez) will arrive.
