French striker Odsonne Édouard close to OGC Nice

OGC Nice are close to finalizing the transfer of French striker Odsonne Édouard (27 years old, Crystal Palace).

According to our latest information, the agreement could be concluded by Friday, which would allow the player to be available as early as Saturday for the opening match of Ligue 1 against Toulouse. The transfer fee has not been disclosed.

The former U21 international is coming off a difficult season. He played for Crystal Palace in the first two matches before being loaned to Leicester, where he received very little playing time.

In total, he only played four Premier League matches and two League Cup matches, totaling 229 minutes, without scoring a single goal. His last appearance was on November 10, 2024.

Despite this lack of success and consistency, he remains an experienced striker, capable of bringing his offensive presence and relaunching his career in the Nice jersey.
