How did your arrival in Bergerac go?

Initially, I had to stop, for many reasons. Then the Bergerac coach (Yoann Brugeaud) called me. I took a week to think about it and I said yes. Quite simply because we created a real relationship of trust. Besides, that's the case for 90% of the squad. With the relegation to R3 , we lost three or four players but those who remain return to the essence of football: living a human adventure and sharing emotions.

Wasn't this demotion to R3 too hard to digest?

Yes, of course, because we signed to play in R1. What I blame the league for the most is the timing: we were in R1 for a month and then demoted two weeks before the start of the championship! Afterwards, regarding the appeal, I didn't have too many illusions, I couldn't see the federation overruling the league. I stayed because I committed and, once again, I have a real relationship of trust with the coach.

How do you see the season?

On paper, in R3, we're the favorites, and that's logical. The team was built to play two divisions above. But that doesn't mean we should think it'll be easy. We'll be the team to beat all season. We saw that on Saturday against Ruelle (2-1). But if we stay serious and united, we can have a great adventure.
