The first day offered a match between last season's 4th and 3rd place teams. It lived up to expectations, and Limeuil won.

Although Limeuil and Périgueux were tied at halftime (1-1), the second half tipped in favor of the Périgord Noir players. Reduced to 10 men in the 48th minute (Amaral was sent off), Limeuil dug deep to take the lead in the 80th minute, but Périgueux equalized in the 88th. Raynaud, who scored twice, gave his team the victory after two minutes of added time, from the penalty spot. "We were certainly behind twice, but for almost a half with a power play, we had no right to leave with anything other than three points," fumed Salah El Kiaf, the Périgord coach.

Neuvic-Saint-Léon, for its part, confirmed its current good form. ASNSL won 1-2 at Saint-Aigulin, thanks to two goals in quick succession after the hour mark, scored by Berger and Ventura-Rato. "It's important to keep this good momentum going before hosting Jarnac (R1) next Sunday in the Coupe de France. It will be our first home game of the season, after two away games in the Cup and one in the league," said coach Kevin Villepontoux. "We hope to put on a good performance."

A hat-trick before finishing as goalkeeper

The first leader is the Prigonrieux reserve team, who scored the weekend victory at Faux (0-4). This success was due in particular to the hat-trick of their captain Nicolas Longueville, who then played the last 20 minutes as goalkeeper, after the starting player was injured! The Montpon-Ménesplet reserve team also won clearly at Montignac (1-4) while the Sarlat-Marcillac reserve team lost at home to Champcevinel (0-1), in a duel between newly promoted teams. It was the former top scorer in D2, Kayle Barthélémy, who gave his team the victory in the 90th minute. Another success was that of PMG, who defeated Tocane at the end of the match (2-1). Finally, Périgord Centre and Mussidan drew (1-1).
