Here we go again. Before the traditional Tour de France, the Critérium du Dauphiné will be held from June 8 to 15, 2025. The winner of the 2024 edition, Slovenian Primoz Roglic, will not be present, but big names like Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma), Tadej Pogacar (UAR Team Emirates -XRG), Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), and Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), to name a few, can hope to succeed him.

Departure time > 10 a.m.; estimated arrival time > 2:37 p.m.

A big name in French cycling, Romain Bardet will end his long and rich career in this Critérium du Dauphiné. In an interview with the official website of the race , the rider set himself a clear objective, that of winning a stage: "I would like (to win a stage) but I have to be realistic because I don't know how the Giro-Dauphiné sequence will go. This week, I can't do anything else but recover before the start and hope for the best."

Romain Bardet also spoke about the importance of the Dauphiné in his career: "I was lucky enough to be able to choose my final race and I have a special attachment to the Dauphiné, so I'm doing it in the one that holds a special place in my heart. All the conditions are there for it to be a great end. I think I'll be able to enjoy my last laps more in a Dauphiné where I'll be able to be a player than in the Tour."
