Reims, Paris, Dunkirk and Cannes have validated their ticket for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, which will take place on April 1st and 2nd. The matches will be known this Thursday evening following the draw scheduled for 7:50 p.m.
By Andreas GuerinAfter Paris 's big win over Saint-Brieuc in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France, all the clubs qualified for the last four are known. The matches will take place on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd April. To accompany the capital club, a big winner over Stade Briochin (0-7) , only one Ligue 1 club answers the call.
Alongside the PSG, the Stade de Reims will indeed play its first semi-final of the Coupe de France since 1988. The Champenois eliminated Angers after a penalty shootout, the third in the space of four rounds (1-1, 3 on penalties to 5). They had already eliminated Monaco and Bourgoin-Jallieu by following the same pattern. At the same time, AS Cannes, a resident of National 2, knocked out Guingamp (Ligue 2) by playing the perfect match .
The Azuréens were able to benefit from a gem of almost fifty meters from their striker Cédric Gonçalves to make the break. After Calais (2000), Montceau-les-Mines (2007), Quevilly (2010), Rumilly (2021) and Versailles (2022), Cannes is the 6th 4th division club to qualify for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France since the beginning of the 2000s.
Finally, USL Dunkerque (League 2) once again surprised everyone by completely overturning Stade Brestois in the final moments. Trailing 2-0, the Northerners achieved a huge feat , notably scoring two goals in the last ten minutes through their defender Opa Sangante to win 3-2. Yet another great performance in the competition, after also defeating Auxerre and especially Lille on penalties.
The four qualified teams will know their opponents at the end of the draw for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, scheduled for this Thursday, February 27 from 7:50 p.m.
