Mehdi Taremi should have been on the team sheet for this new-look Inter Milan-Monterrey Club World Cup match on Tuesday evening, June 17 in Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles. After his disappointment on May 30 with the Lombard club in the Champions League final against PSG , the Iranian striker went to spend a few days relaxing with his family in Tehran. Then he was due to fly back to the west coast of the United States to join his teammates.

Meanwhile, Israel has attacked several Iranian military sites.
