Basketball: Boulazac basket Dordogne has its third recruit

In a press release, the BBD announced this Friday the arrival of a new recruit in the person of KJ Williams.
This is the third signing of the offseason. American center KJ Williams (25 years old, 2m08) arrives as a reinforcement from the Greek club Promitheas Patras.
A position 4 or 5With a remarkable college career, culminating in an average of 17.7 points and 7.7 rebounds at LSU Tigers in Louisiana in 2022-2023, as well as his first professional experience in the G-League (11 points and 6.7 rebounds in 2023-2024), KJ Williams will bring a modern profile to the BBD, combining power under the rim and a threat from mid-range.
The 25-year-old made his European debut last season with Promitheas Patras, where he averaged 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds over ten Greek league games.
Physical, versatile, and committed, the American center should strengthen the Palio's racket. "He's an inside player capable of stretching defenses and elbowing his way inside. He arrives in Périgord in a major role to truly launch his career in Europe. His versatility and American background had already won over Promitheas last season (Greek first division), both in the domestic league and in the BCL. In the BBD, he will easily partner with Cyrille (Eliezer-Vanerot), Ousman (Krubally), or Essomé (Miyem) to protect the racket and showcase all his offensive talent in both position 4 and position 5," emphasizes coach Alexandre Ménard.
A tournament as a friendly matchAnd then, before the Super Cup at Roland Garros on September 20 and 21, the BBD will play friendly matches. We already know that the Boulazac club will be present at the Golfe de Vannes tournament on August 30 and 31, and will play against Le Mans, Cholet, and Nanterre.
