Pensions: Will the Left Censor François Bayrou?

Prime Minister François Bayrou clumsily attempted to salvage discussions on pension reform after stalling them for weeks. But the prospect of an agreement is slipping further away. As a reminder, the unions (CFDT, CFE-CGC, CFTC) and employers (Medef and CPME) have been working since late February on rewriting the 2023 pension reform (raising the legal retirement age from 62 to 64), at the initiative of Prime Minister François Bayrou. Denouncing the discussions as locked down, the CGT, FO, and U2P have walked out.
The question now arises: what will the left-wing MPs do? Aurélien Soucheyre, head of the political section, provides an update.
