Like LFI, the PS will present a candidate in Monaco to become a deputy for French people abroad.

It was in the pipeline, and now it's official. There will be no left-wing union in the ^5th constituency of French citizens abroad, made up of Monaco, Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.

As voters are called to the polls on Sunday, September 28 and October 12 to choose the successor to Stéphane Vojetta – declared ineligible and automatically resigning by the Constitutional Council in July 2025 – the question of a unified left remains unanswered...

"It's time for the PS"

A question to which the Socialist Party responded, which will present a candidate in this constituency in the person of Guillaume Horn.

The history and geography teacher will therefore be opposed on the starting line to the La France Insoumise candidate Martha Pecina [read our editions of August 12 and September 1] , who claims to be carrying the New Popular Front project.

"In 2022, there were Les Écologistes, in 2024 La France Insoumise, now I want to say that it's time for the PS," Guillaume Horn justified himself in LesFrançais.press , a media dedicated to French people abroad, regarding the criticisms of LFI and the Écologists regarding his candidacy.

The latter accused the Socialists, via a press release, of not respecting the New Popular Front agreement of 2024.
