Southwest Experts: Why do the waters of Jonzac have so many virtues?

It was deep geothermal drilling in 1979 that led to the discovery, at a depth of about 250 meters, of a different kind of water, protected by a layer of thick clay. After being treated with chlorine for distribution as drinking water, it supplies the city. Highly stable, free of nitrates and pesticides, it has also been classified by the Ministry of Health as natural mineral water.
And on the health side, there is a third level of drilling, at 1,870 meters, where thermal water is drawn, with proven therapeutic properties, which provides relief for rheumatism, venous disorders and respiratory tract problems.
