Forbach. 2025 intake: 106 new nursing students join the IFSI (School of Nursing and Nursing)

The Forbach Nursing Training Institute (IFSI) welcomed its 106 new first-year students on Monday, September 1st . The class, composed of 20 men and 86 women, reflects a wide variety of backgrounds and ages, ranging from 17 to 53 years old. The IFSI now has a total of 300 students and is fully booked. This growth is accompanied by a teaching approach that aims to be "innovative and dynamic," with escape games, health simulation exercises, practical work, and digital tools. Regular exchanges are organized with the Sarreguemines IFSI, with the aim of enriching learning and professional experiences.
The start of the school year began at 2 p.m. with a welcome speech from Arielle Sac-Epée, director of the establishment . "The educational monitoring of each student is individualized and personalized, regardless of their profile, in order to allow them to develop their skills and build their professional future," she explained. "The objective is to train competent professionals , capable of meeting the demands of quality care while adapting to the health needs of the population."

On Tuesday, September 2nd, a mentoring event was organized by second-year students. This event included welcoming and mentoring first-year students, with discussions on student well-being, responsible use of social media, and raising awareness about carpooling and its economic and environmental impacts. The morning concluded with a tour of the IFSI (Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities) and a social gathering organized by the students.
