Bouzonville. Pink October: Emilie and Jenn enhance women's bodies

Making the invisible visible. Putting pain into words. Overcoming prejudices through knowledge. Photographer Emilie Masson and Zenn Lingerie boutique manager Jennifer Mélis have chosen to partner this year for Pink October, the national campaign to combat breast cancer. "We wanted to honor the women in our Bouzonville area who have been affected by this terrible disease," explains Emilie. "We put out a call on our networks to bring together around ten of them this Thursday, September 18, at the Bouzonville Ecopole business center, where my studio is located. We're offering them an artistic photoshoot in my studio. The photos will then be displayed in Jenn's boutique throughout the month of October."
Having worked in lingerie for 10 years, Jennifer estimates that one in four customers is a victim of breast cancer. "I offer specific lingerie, but how many women can't even walk through the door of a store after having surgery? With Emilie, we want to show that all bodies are beautiful. That scars are simply a reflection of a personal story filled with courage and strength."
Some of the women contacted by Emilie and Jenn have already agreed to pose bare-chested. "We need to get the message out. Everyone needs to rally around this cause," continues the manager. "We're all concerned." In addition to their joint initiative, the two women will also be carrying out two separate initiatives. "I'm collecting old bras to donate to an association for disadvantaged women," explains Jennifer. "I also plan to make a €300 donation on behalf of the store. Finally, a donation box will be placed on my counter."
Emilie is offering those who wish to come and have their photo taken in exchange for a donation during the month of October. All funds collected will be donated to the Moselle-Est Resource Center .
