Bordeaux: a solidarity race organized to highlight suicide prevention

By SudOuest.fr Bordeaux
The first edition of the Collective Run will take place on Saturday, September 13, starting at 9 a.m.
To mark International Suicide Prevention Day, a charity run will be held in Bordeaux to raise awareness about mental health. Participants will be invited to run (or walk) the 3.114-kilometer course, and the bravest among you will even be able to repeat it. The route will start at the Charles-Perrens Hospital and end at the Carreire Campus of the University of Bordeaux.
This first edition is intended to be "accessible to all," with no time limit or ranking. Launched by the Centre Respondant 3114 (Bordeaux's national suicide prevention number), it aims to "say loud and clear that talking saves lives, and that we can act collectively against prejudice," according to the organizers. The welcome coffee will be held at 9 a.m., before the official speeches and a warm-up. The race will start at 10 a.m.
Departure point: 121, rue de la Béchade, Bordeaux. Registration required, via Helloasso . Accompanied minors may participate. Free.
