Baltzenheim. The Ultra Festi'Baltz: 24 hours of running or walking to support Laurine

To organize the 24-hour race, Ultra Festi'Baltz partnered with CSL Neuf-Brisach and Course Horizon. Each year, the profits from this race are used to support people who have suffered accidents.
For this edition, which will take place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August, Laurine Wolfsperger, from Artzenheim, will be the beneficiary. Having lost her left leg following an accident , she wants to take up triathlon, which requires a running prosthesis, the enormous cost of which cannot be borne by herself or her family.
The members of Ultra Festi'Baltz therefore decided to participate in the financing of this spatula through this race.
The finish and start will be in the courtyard of the Montessori school, where everything will be in place to welcome runners and walkers. There's no time limit for this 800-meter circuit through the village streets: you run or walk, you do one lap, ten laps, or 50 laps, for the sole purpose of participating. For a donation of €5, a bib number will be given to each participant.
Some of the participants are ultrarunners such as David Da Silva , Pascal Chenal, Guy Guibert, Thierry Marbach (who comes specially from the south), Martine Szabo, Albino Da Silva, Gilbert Wehrle; Christophe Spaety, himself, is launching himself; Dominique Merlin and Rachel Malaise are both visually impaired, etc... And who knows, others might come to take up this challenge? But you can also make a donation without taking part, simply to support a good cause.
To encourage children to take part in the race, David Da Silva and all the organizers will be offering a special race for them on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. It will be a short 800-meter lap on the secure circuit. Each child will receive a prize.
At the same time, in the village hall, L'Écurie du Lac (Horbourg-Wihr) will be offering a miniature car race on a circuit; they will start and stop running at the same time as the race.
On site, it will be possible to eat at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday (poultry pie with porcini mushrooms, American with fries, merguez or white sausage), and dinner on Saturday (braised ham, spaetzle with Riesling sauce, various drinks, sweet and savory crepes).
