United States: Arches National Park in Utah, a wonder of the American West

On Saturday, July 19, the 8 p.m. news program takes you to discover one of the wonders of the American West: Arches National Park in Utah.
The American West offers breathtaking landscapes. This is particularly true in Arches National Park in Utah (USA). The monumental rock sculptures seem to defy space and gravity. "I think it's incredible, we didn't know a place like this existed," exclaims a tourist who arrived by minibus. "Time is a master sculptor," says another.
More than 2,000 arches, large and small, have formed in the park. A life-size, open-air painting, the result of centuries of transformation. "The rock is really porous here. And when water seeps into it, it freezes and creates cracks. And over time, the stone crumbles. After millions of years, arches have formed," explains tour guide Kacey Hazam.
