The C919, the Chinese plane conquering the world

The C919, whose model strangely resembles the A320, is today the flagship of Chinese aviation, which aims to compete with the two global giants, Boeing and Airbus.
On the tarmac of Shanghai Airport (China), this "made in China" plane has become a familiar sight. The model, the C919 built by Comac, is a national glory, according to passengers. "I am proud that our country builds airplanes," confides a Chinese woman. "Today, I specifically chose this flight because the plane is a C919," also recounts a man.
China's goal is to compete with the two global giants, Boeing and Airbus. The Chinese aircraft bears a striking resemblance to the Airbus A320, with the same fuselage and technology. Is this a coincidence? Among the A320s sold by Airbus to Beijing, one completely disappeared from the radar screens in the early 2000s. It never flew. For fear of commercial retaliation, Airbus never reported anything. The European aircraft manufacturer has sold hundreds of aircraft to China.
