Pont-à-Mousson. Mother's Day: Where to find a lovely local gift at the last minute?

Still haven't found the perfect Mother's Day gift? Don't panic. Several local boutiques and designers are doubling down on their imaginations to combine indulgence, wellness, and creativity.
Les Frères Gourmands, located under the arcades on Place Duroc, focuses on gourmet bouquets. "It's our specialty," confides manager Bastien Thomas, not a little proudly. Sweet, colorful, and original ideas to delight mothers with delicate palates.
"We also offer candles, some of which are large," he adds. "You can also find scents shaped like flowers."
Another gift idea that works very well: tea. "Cups and teapots sell quite well," says the manager. In terms of flavors, the lemon, ginger, and passion fruit green tea is currently a hit. Of course, the shop also offers its own creations, such as Mussipon'thés, available in mirabelle plum and caramel green tea, bergamot-citrus black tea, and red fruit infusion.
And for those who are hesitant, gourmet baskets always make an impact. "We also offer Mother's Day mugs with an assortment of treats inside," concludes the manager.
Wellness is another trend of the moment.
The Beauty and Spa , on Chemin de Montrichard, is offering a discount on head spa treatments. "It's a Mother's Day promotion that's valid until May 28th," explains manager Emilie Castellazzi. "The two routines we offer are aimed at deep relaxation." The first ritual involves "deep-cleansing the hair and taking care of the scalp," while the second also includes facial treatments. "For the massage, we use Japanese techniques with pressure points," explains the manager.
Other treatments such as world massages, hand treatments and parent-child duo treatments are also available outside of promotions.
For handy moms, the Esprit verre workshop shop on rue Victor-Hugo offers various creative workshops, including one on floral design. "We'll be working with dried flowers to make flower bells," says Bélinda Delalle , an artist of floral arrangements, dried flowers, and preserved flowers. "It's not something people are used to working with, and I often hear that it relaxes them. Plus, it allows you to spend a different time than what we're used to." The workshop will take place on May 23 and lasts an hour and a half. For registration, inquire at the Esprit verre shop.
Finally, the Pont-à-Mousson Basin Traders' Association is holding a raffle until May 25. Tickets cost just two euros and can be purchased from merchants who are members of the Les Vitrines de Pont-à-Mousson association. Up for grabs: a surprise stay, up to €300 in window display vouchers, and wellness treatments.
