Trade unions and employers are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, June 17, for a final discussion session on the rewriting of the 2023 pension reform. However, the Medef's intransigence on the issue of arduous work makes the outcome of this meeting uncertain.
A final showdown before signing? On Tuesday, June 17, the "conclave" negotiators, who have been working since late February on rewriting the 2023 reform (raising the legal retirement age from 62 to 64 and accelerating the extension of the contribution period), will meet for a final discussion session. It would be a clever decision to outline the day's landing point, given that the Medef (French employers' association) is so entrenched in its positions.
