Parliament approved the appointment of Bernard Fontana as head of EDF on Wednesday. This relatively discreet graduate of the École Polytechnique succeeds Luc Rémont at the helm of the French energy giant, where several explosive issues await him.
As recently as early March, no one would have expected him to hold such a position. But now it's (almost) official: at 64, Bernard Fontana will become the new CEO of EDF. This Wednesday, April 30, he was interviewed by the Economic Affairs Committees of the Senate and the National Assembly, which did not oppose his appointment to this position, in accordance with the wishes of the Ministry of Finance and the Élysée Palace - his appointment was approved by 55 votes...
