In France and the United Kingdom, the Lush retailer is suspending sales for one day in solidarity with Gaza.

The message "Stop the famine in Gaza - we are closed in solidarity" is displayed on the website of the brand, founded in 1995 in the southwest of England and known for its fizzing, scented bath bombs and colorful soaps.
"At Lush, we share the anguish of millions of people at the images of starving people in Gaza, Palestine. Like the rest of the world, we are struggling to find solutions to help, while the Israeli government prevents emergency humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip," the company said in a statement published online.
She calls on the British government to act to "immediately end the death and destruction" in the Palestinian territory and to "cease arms sales" to Israel.
Charity projects for children in Gaza"It's not an easy decision (...) but we know that many of our customers share the same concern about the situation in Gaza," explains the company, which also donates profits from the sale of one of its soaps to charitable projects for children in Gaza and the West Bank.
Lush has over 880 stores in 52 countries, including over 100 in the UK and Ireland.
In late 2023, she was singled out on social media after one of her Dublin stores displayed the message "Boycott Israel" in its window. She defended herself by claiming it was an "isolated" incident.
