Choose France: In Versailles, a gathering with 200 bosses to mask the failures of Macron's policy

This Monday, 200 multinational bosses are expected in Versailles for the Choose France summit, where the head of state is expected to extol the merits of his economic policy... to better mask its failures.
Emmanuel Macron is set to engage in one of his favorite activities this Monday, May 19: self-celebration. Like a monarch in his palace, the head of state is hosting 200 multinational bosses beneath the gilded palace of Versailles as part of the Choose France summit, a lavish gathering held in 2018 to showcase his ability to attract foreign business leaders.
The agenda includes expected announcements of investments in France, for an amount expected to be around €20 billion, as well as a (necessarily) magnificent assessment of Macron's policy. In 2024, the investments were greeted with cries of joy from Bruno Le Maire, then Minister of the Economy: "This great historic success is due to one thing: our economic policy implemented for seven years with Emmanuel Macron. (...) The reindustrialization of France is underway!"
