Photo exhibition: Farida Hamak, in the footsteps of Tunisia

A territory that she crossed from north to south, building along her travels little stories filled with silent beauties like those of landscapes, abandoned architecture, and the human beings she encountered.

Far from illustrating purely aesthetic work, his photos reveal moments of emotion that belong to a culture poised between tradition and modernity, captured in an unpredictable way like barely perceptible traces, such as the distant sound of a breeze, the murmur of a discussion between women of the same family or the clattering of water in a still-filled basin.
His path, where attention to his surroundings dominates, allows him to lay bare a territory in a modest and sensitive manner, also revealing unspoken things and the complexity of Tunisia today.
