Goldoni, Shakespeare and Offenbach on the program for Éric Ruf's final season at the Comédie-Française

PROGRAM - As he bids farewell with the triumph of The Satin Slipper , which he directed, Éric Ruf has delivered his final program before handing over his position as general administrator to Clément Hervieu-Léger.
"For over thirty years, I have been fortunate to participate in a fascinating centuries-old artistic adventure. (...) First as an actor, then, for the past eleven years, at the heart of the theatre, presiding over its destiny," says Éric Ruf, who will hand over the helm to Clément Hervieu-Léger in August. But, before revealing the shows for the 2025-2026 season, an important note: the season will be special for the public as well as for the Comédie-Française.
"The Salle Richelieu will be closed for work related to both the renovation of the stage and the upgrading of the building, essential work in a historic building that welcomes the public more than 300 days a year. This closure will begin on January 16, 2026, and will last until the end of the season. Starting January 14, you will find your theater's troupe and program in eight Parisian venues and in Nanterre.
