The Colombian women's team will close its participation in the SheBelieves Cup this Wednesday by facing Australia, a semi-finalist in the last World Cup, in San Diego (California, USA).
This tournament serves as preparation for the Women's Copa América to be held in Ecuador and for the start of the qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil, in which, for the first time, there will be a tournament independent of the Cup to determine who qualifies.
The team coached by Angelo Marsiglia lost its first two matches in the tournament. With the base roster, it fell 2-0 against the United States, and with an alternate team in which it tried out many young players, it lost 4-1 against Japan.
