The sad story of a UFC fighter who ended up on the streets living among drugs

A powerful story has come to light in the last few hours. Eduarda Neves Santana, a mixed martial arts fighter, was found on the streets of Brazil after falling into drugs. The fighter resorted to selling her body to survive and cope with her addiction.
The Brazilian press found Eduarda Neves Santana on the streets, after a long time without knowing her whereabouts. The fighter, better known as Duda Cowboyzinha , began to live a hell after testing positive for doping a few years ago.
In 2020, the UFC fired her for testing positive for an adverse substance ( Ligandrol ). It was the hardest blow of her life and the decision could never be overcome by Cowboyzinha , who tried to appeal, but fell into a deep depression.
In the middle of the press video, the fighter acknowledged her mistakes and said that it all started at parties, consuming marijuana, cocaine and all kinds of drugs because she was surrounded by bad people. "You start with a joint and you end up prostituting yourself for drugs. Now I prostitute myself for a cigarette," she said.
Duda Cowboyzinha said his dream is to fight in MMA again. "God took everything from me, like Job, but one day he will give it all back to me. He is testing me like he tested Jesus, in the desert, just like he tested Daniel. But one day this story will have a happy ending. One day this story will have a happy ending. Wait for my return."
"My family doesn't understand that this is a disease, it's nothing bad... This addiction is very sad. Sometimes I go days and days without smoking, I start to get excited, 'I'm going to fight again!' Then any little thing depresses me and I start using drugs again," he added.
It is worth noting that Neves Santana rose to fame in the Tatá Fight Team of MMA and debuted in 2019 against Bea Malecki in the UFC. After years of suffering, the fighter is in a program of an evangelical church and wants to start another detoxification process.
