Sevilla is finally studying the request from Accionistas Unidos which "strengthens the club's roots in its land and protects the entity"

Sevilla FC announced on Monday through a statement on its official website that it has decided to "study the process of declaring Sevilla FC as an Asset of Ethnological Cultural Interest of Andalusia" and that it has already taken the first steps in this direction.
The club stated the following:
«The Board of Directors of Sevilla FC, following an initiative by Accionistas Unidos expressed at the last General Shareholders' Meeting, decided to study the process of declaring Sevilla FC as an Asset of Ethnological Cultural Interest of Andalusia and is already in contact with the Department of Culture of the Regional Government of Andalusia for this purpose.
In the words of the association itself, "its century-old history, its sporting career and the social acceptance in which the Sevilla sentiment is rooted, are sufficient identity elements for the administration of the Junta de Andalucía to accept this request." Since that date, Accionistas Unidos has held meetings with the administration itself, Sevilla FC and other Sevilla groups to support the initiative .
The Board of Sevilla FC has asked its legal services to analyse the consequences and scope of this declaration, as well as the procedure for carrying it out.
Contacted by this medium, Accionistas Unidos welcomes the fact that the club has "finally" taken a step forward in this matter, although they regret that a long period of time has passed since they brought to the attention of the board of directors the demand of the Sevilla fans that "strengthens the roots of the club in its land and protects the entity."
Accionistas Unidos prepared a dossier of more than 160 pages in which the arguments that would support the declaration of the club as an Asset of Ethnological Cultural Interest of Andalusia are collected, strengthening and highlighting the roots of the entity in the territory based on the postulates of different professors and historians.
They believe that the club took the group's request as an "aggression" in the midst of an institutional crisis and that is why it has not made any progress in this procedure. They maintain that in no case was this request aimed at attacking, offending or destabilizing the current board of directors and that its intention was none other than to defend the good of a club that, if this declaration were to be made effective, would not run -among other things- the risk of disappearing if the situation got out of control.
Accionistas Unidos is relieved to have finally been heard, although it is not entirely satisfied as it considers that the fact of "studying the declaration process" is framed in an earlier phase than expected and desired.
