Millonarios vs. Tolima and Fortaleza vs. Nacional, postponed due to Shakira's concert

The schedule of the Dimayor and Conmebol tournaments continues to be disrupted by the concerts at El Campín. This Monday, the District Commission for Security, Comfort and Coexistence for Football in Bogotá did not authorize the playing of three matches this weekend in that stadium.

The games that will have to be rescheduled are Fortaleza vs. Atlético Nacional, which was to be played on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., and Millonarios vs. Deportes Tolima, which was scheduled for Sunday at the same time.

Millonarios' first home game in the Women's League will also have to be postponed: Angie Vega's team was due to play on Sunday against Orsomarso at El Campín, starting at 3pm.

The game between Fortaleza and Nacional had been scheduled at El Campín for security and ticket office reasons. It should be noted that the 'Amix' are locals at the Metropolitano de Techo stadium.

Santa Fe was already forced to move the match against Deportes Iquique, from Chile, in the second phase of the Copa Libertadores, to the Metropolitano de Techo stadium, due to the setup of the stage for the two concerts that Shakira will give at El Campín, on February 26 and 27.

Santa Fe was also unable to play against Bucaramanga this weekend. Although the match was initially scheduled for Sunday, there was not enough time between the dismantling of the stage for Andrea Bocelli's concert and the installation of the platform for Shakira's.

The commission considered that "the conditions for the normal development" of the matches would not be guaranteed. It should be remembered that all the logistics of the concert of the Barranquilla native corresponds to the firm Páramo.

"The timeline between the end of the concert and the dismantling of the entire stage and the production of Shakira's concert, to be held on February 26 and 27, does not allow for the stadium to be fully operational and would create additional risks for the fans and even the players themselves," the commission's statement said.

Also due to Shakira's failed concert at the Atanasio Girardot stadium, which was cancelled due to failures in the assembly of the roof of the main stage, the match between Independiente Medellín and Llaneros had to be postponed. It will be played this Thursday.

In the case of Millonarios, the match cannot be played that same week because the blues will play on Wednesday, March 5 against Once Caldas in the first phase of the Copa Sudamericana.

Official confirmation of the postponement of the two matches by Dimayor is expected, as well as the date on which they will be rescheduled.
