Liverpool will pay the remaining two years of Diogo Jota's contract to his family.

Following the tragic deaths of footballer Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, Liverpool, the club where he played, has announced that it will pay the Portuguese player's family the money corresponding to the two years of his remaining contract with the English club, according to the Portuguese newspaper Record.
Yesterday, Saturday, a large crowd of people, including fellow players, family members, and fans of the Portuguese player, gathered in Gondomar to bid him farewell. Among those in attendance were Portugal's national team coach, Roberto Martínez; the president of the Football Federation, Pedro Proença; and players from the national team.
Both brothers died tragically in the early hours of Thursday morning in a traffic accident on the A52 motorway near Cernadilla (Zamora) . Diogo Jota was 28 years old, while his brother André Felipe Silva, also a footballer for Penafiel in the Portuguese second division, was 25.
In Liverpool , near Anfield, a book of condolence was opened and dozens of Reds fans left bouquets of flowers, heart-shaped balloons and scarves reading "Rest in peace, Diogo Jota."
In light of the tragedy, Liverpool has decided to postpone the resumption of training. Scheduled for Friday with an initial series of fitness tests, the players' return has been pushed back to Monday.
