Disciplinary bans Celaya from two matches

The Disciplinary Committee of the Mexican Football Federation sanctioned Celaya, of the Expansion League, with a two-match suspension at the Miguel Alemán Valdés stadium for the following season and a financial fine, after an altercation between fans who entered the field and security elements at the end of the quarterfinal match against Jaiba Brava - at the end of April - in which a person with a tear gas weapon was detected . The following day, the Liga de Expansión Mx issued a statement condemning the events and asked fans to enjoy the matches with passion and respect, always supporting the indications of the authorities at all times . After Tampico Madero's 1-0 victory in the first leg, both teams tied 0-0 in the second leg, with which the Jaiba Brava team booked their ticket to the semifinals of the 2025 Clausura tournament with an aggregate score of 1-0. Finally, the FMF Disciplinary Committee asked the Celaya club to ensure that situations of this nature do not occur again.
