The UCO asks the judge for permission to investigate Cerdán's bank accounts for a decade.

He wants to investigate the former PSOE Organization Secretary's personal bank accounts and his tax information.

The Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard has requested authorization from Judge Leopoldo Puente to search the personal bank accounts and tax information of former PSOE Organization Secretary Santos Cerdán for the past ten years, but not those of the party.

In a document obtained by EFE, the armed forces argues that it is requesting these proceedings after verifying the delivery of the deputy's certificate and the loss of his immunity.

The UCO is requesting access to three entities to track bank financial products in which Santos Cerdán appears as the owner, representative, or authorized representative, with the exception of those bank accounts linked to the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) or the Pablo Iglesias Foundation.

Specifically, it requires information on banking and financial products, all information suspected of money laundering, as well as transactions (balances, deposits, and payments) from January 1, 2014, or from the date of purchase, to the present.

Information on check cashing, issued and received transfers , currency exchanges, withdrawals, and cash deposits exceeding 300 euros is also available.

He also requests that a court order be issued to the Tax Agency to provide a report on Santos Cerdán's supply for the period between 2014 and 2024.

This report must contain, among other things, bank accounts, income, checks, investment funds, insurance, real estate, information on corporate relationships, assets held abroad, invoices, income from renting, donations, pension plans, treasury payments, rented safe deposit boxes, and tax returns.

Pending his decision, the judge has offered to voluntarily testify on the 25th for the former number three of the PSOE, who could not be summoned as a suspect due to his immunity, a status he lost this Monday when he resigned from his position as a deputy.
