The oral trial for the Cuadernos Case against Cristina Kirchner will begin on November 6.

The trial in the Cuadernos case has already been scheduled: November 6 , according to a ruling by the 7th Federal Oral Court. The case investigates a system of bribery in public works , withCristina Kirchner as the main defendant. More than 150 former officials and businessmen are also charged.
As a preliminary step, the court convened a preliminary hearing for September 24 at 10:00 a.m., via Zoom. At that stage, the rules for organizing the trial will be established. The objective will be to define the central evidence and avoid repetition of already proven facts. The case file seeks to prove the existence of a structure that, for years, allegedly raised illegal funds for public works contracts.
This will be the former president's second oral trial, after being sentenced to six years in prison in the Vialidad case . She also has other pending cases related to Los Sauces-Hotesur and the memorandum with Iran .
The case began with the writings of Oscar Centeno , a driver for Enrique Baratta , a former official at the Ministry of Planning. Centeno recounted that he drove Baratta to meetings with businessmen where bags of money were collected. He claimed to have written everything down in notebooks: dates, amounts, addresses, and names.
Among the most prominent defendants are Julio De Vido , former Minister of Planning, and Baratta himself. Some businessmen have declared themselves repentant and acknowledged paying bribes, while former officials have admitted to receiving these illegal funds.
The trial will be conducted via videoconference and will feature more than 600 witnesses , making it one of the largest court proceedings in recent years. Organization and logistics will be key to ensuring its success.
The progress of the Cuadernos trial will once again put the State's role in awarding public works contracts for more than a decade under scrutiny. Cristina Kirchner arrives without immunity and amid a complex judicial landscape that will shape the coming months.
