In an unprecedented event in the country's judicial history, the National Electoral Institute (INE) presented majority certificates to circuit magistrates and district judges elected by citizen vote, marking the beginning of a new era that seeks to bring justice closer to Mexican society.

During the official event held at the INE headquarters, Councilor President Guadalupe Taddei Zavala celebrated the legality and transparency of the process, emphasizing that it is a fundamental step toward a more inclusive model of power. "This election represents an act of democratic emancipation. The people not only elect those who govern them, but also those who will judge them," she declared.

One of the prominent names in this first round was Eluzai Rafael Aguilar, who obtained 62,671 votes—equivalent to 5.91%—for the position of criminal judge in the 4th judicial district of Jalisco. His election has drawn attention due to his ties to the Light of the World church, a religious organization that has been implicated in various judicial proceedings in recent years.

The INE (National Electoral Institute) delivered majority certificates to the winners of judicial circuits one, two, and three, which cover Mexico City, the State of Mexico, and Jalisco. Taddei Zavala emphasized that these appointments do not come from an elite or from decisions made behind closed doors, but rather from the direct vote of the citizenry: "They have not been appointed, they have been elected. They represent the will of millions who yearn for a closer, more humane, and more equitable justice system."

The president of the General Council also emphasized that the judicial reform promoted through this process is not a mere technical adjustment, but rather a profound transformation of the Mexican state.

This event represents a watershed for the country's judicial system, where new judges will assume their positions supported by popular vote. The active participation of citizens in the election of judges and magistrates opens a new chapter in the history of Mexican justice.
