Tabasco Governor Javier May Rodríguez presented his Second Quarterly Work Report, highlighting what he described as "historic results" in just nine months of administration. At an event held at the Convention Center, the governor detailed progress in key areas such as security, finance, social programs, and public works.

With a direct message to her opponents, May Rodríguez defended her administration and asserted that the state's transformation is moving forward without derailing its course, prioritizing a social and humanist policy.

The central focus of Javier May's report was the social focus of his administration. Since taking office on September 30, 2024, he has prioritized investment in programs that seek to directly improve the quality of life of Tabasco residents.

The most notable achievements in this area are:

  • Social Investment: Of this year's 66 billion pesos budget, 31 billion have been allocated to strengthening social programs, public works, and security.
  • Field Days: More than 130,000 families have been served in 66 integration centers through direct service days.
  • Support for the Word: 10,000 "Tandas para la Mujer" (Women's Loans) were delivered with an investment of 50 million pesos, and the Livestock Credit for the Word program was reactivated.
  • State Sowing Life: 8,000 beneficiaries have been added, receiving a monthly salary of 5,000 pesos.
  • Digital Inclusion: 122,438 electronic tablets were distributed to high school students, with a historic investment of more than 367 million pesos.

May emphasized that state programs now cover 50% of all existing housing in Tabasco, a milestone in the state's social policy.

Regarding public safety, the governor reported that the 2025 budget has been increased to 3.1 billion pesos, which has allowed for the strengthening of corporations and crime prevention strategies.

In the financial sphere, May emphasized that her government maintains healthy finances and actively combats corruption. "We are very proud to say that no one steals our money now and that public resources are protected and go to the poorest and most vulnerable," she stated.

During his speech, Governor Javier May sent a strong message to critics of his administration, especially those who point to an alleged economic decline. He refuted the idea that businesses are closing, asserting that his data shows otherwise.

"To our opponents who oppose everything we do and get angry, we only have one thing to say: Sorry for the inconvenience, we're working!" – Governor Javier May Rodríguez.

The president acknowledged that every transformation process generates reactions by removing interests, but reaffirmed his commitment to not take "one step back in the transformation of Tabasco."

Javier May Rodríguez's nine-month report seeks to project an image of an active government, with a strong social focus and tangible results. Citizens and the state's various political and economic sectors will be responsible for evaluating on a daily basis whether this historic investment translates into the promised well-being and security.
