Javier May's dual strategy: direct support and mega-projects

Javier May's government in Tabasco has launched its political and social machinery with two high-impact initiatives: the mass distribution of Sembrando Vida (Sowing Life) cards and the inauguration of the strategic Tenosique station of the Mayan Train.

VILLAHERMOSA, TAB.- The administration of Governor Javier May Rodríguez is implementing in Tabasco the dual strategy that has characterized the Fourth Transformation project nationwide: the consolidation of a social base through direct support programs and the projection of a legacy of progress through monumental infrastructure projects.

In recent days, the president has led two events that perfectly encapsulate this vision. First, the distribution of Sembrando Vida (Sowing Life) cards to 801 farmers in the municipalities of Balancán and Tenosique, and second, the inauguration of the Tenosique station of the Mayan Train.

In the municipalities of Balancán and Tenosique, Governor May reaffirmed the commitment of his "People's Government" to the most vulnerable sectors of the population. The distribution of Sembrando Vida (Sowing Life) cards, which will allow beneficiaries to earn a daily wage of 5,000 pesos, was presented as a tool to promote food self-sufficiency and rebuild the social fabric.

This strategy of direct support, without intermediaries, seeks to create a bond of loyalty and trust between citizens and the government, addressing immediate needs and ensuring a solid base of popular support, a fundamental pillar of the political project it represents.

> "There will always be resources to promote food self-sufficiency and the rebuilding of the social fabric." – Javier May Rodríguez, Governor of Tabasco.

At the same time, the governor celebrated the opening of the Tenosique station of the Mayan Train as a milestone that "marks a new stage of well-being and opportunity creation for Tabasco." The train's arrival in this region of the Los Ríos area is seen as a catalyst for tourism and the local economy.

The inauguration, which featured the traditional "Danza del Pochó," symbolizes the connection between major federal projects and the cultural roots and development aspirations of local communities.

The simultaneous implementation of these two policies—direct support for individuals and the construction of infrastructure with a national impact—is not a coincidence. It is the methodical implementation of a government model that seeks to consolidate its power both in the present, through the popularity of social programs, and in the future, through the legacy of major public works.
