Access to health care is Colombians' main concern in the July Guarumo survey.

Access to healthcare is the main problem facing Colombians today, according to the results of the most recent survey by Guarumo and EcoAnalítica, conducted between July 1 and 5, 2025. 23.7% of respondents indicated this issue as their greatest concern , above insecurity (20.3%) and corruption (15.9%), reflecting a growing concern among the population about the conditions of the healthcare system in the country.

Problems at the national level

The list of concerns also includes the cost of living (10.3%) and lack of employment (9.4%), followed by access to pensions (4.9%) and education (4.7%), indicating that social and economic issues are the focus of much of the public's attention.

Issues such as inequality (3.3%), climate change (1.9%), foreign migration (0.9%), drug trafficking (0.9%), and polarization (0.7%) obtained lower percentages, although they are still present in public perception.

The survey also measured the image of President Gustavo Petro. His administration was rated as "good" by 30.3% of respondents, but it also received critical reviews : 26.6% considered it "terrible" and 23.7% "bad."

Only 8.4% thought his performance was "excellent," while 11% preferred not to answer or said they didn't know. These results demonstrate a divided public opinion regarding the president.

Another relevant finding of the study relates to trust in state institutions. The survey reveals a widespread climate of distrust: the Presidency, Congress, the Attorney General's Office, the Prosecutor's Office, the Comptroller's Office, and the high courts largely display low levels of credibility.

Congress, for example, received 32.2% of responses indicating "no confidence" and 30.6% indicating "little confidence," while the presidential office received 25.6% and 32.2%, respectively.

In contrast, the Armed Forces are the institution with the greatest support : 38.1% of respondents said they have "a lot of trust" in them, and another 22.4% expressed "some trust." The National Police also receives relatively favorable ratings, although to a lesser extent.

The survey was administered in person to 2,122 people in 36 municipalities across the country, including cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, Cali, and Bucaramanga. It has a margin of error of 2.2% and a confidence level of 95% and is part of a series of public opinion surveys in light of the country's political and electoral landscape.
