The Gibraltar agreement does not alter the Royal Navy's continued harassment of Spanish ships.

The agreement on the British colony of Gibraltar , the only one remaining in Europe, has not altered the continued harassment of Spanish ships by Royal Navy boats in waters that the Rock considers its own and Spain its own.
This week, the Furor, a Maritime Action Vessel (BAM) of the Spanish Navy, began surveillance operations in the Strait of Gibraltar. During its stopover in Algeciras, the ship was pursued and harassed by several of the colony's boats.
The Furor carried out a port entry maneuver this Friday, in which it did not hesitate to approach the Rock, which resulted in a new clash, as the HMS Cutlass of Gibraltar harassed the Furor , based at the Cartagena Arsenal, as it passed about 950 meters from the Rock.
These clashes with the Royal Navy are a constant occurrence for Spanish security forces, but they also occur with fishing boats, recreational vessels, and any other vessels that the Llanes authorities consider to have entered their waters, which, by agreement, they do not have.
This fact was alerted this Friday on his X account by Michael J. Sánchez, observer of the Strait, in his X account, indicating that the Furor (P-46) had entered the Bay of Algeciras pursued by the small British vessel.

These incidents often provoke diplomatic protests from the Llanes authorities , although in this case, at least for the moment, neither the British Government nor the colonial government have commented.
The Furor began its surveillance operations in Spanish waters in the Mediterranean in June as part of the Spanish Navy's Presence, Surveillance, and Deterrence Operations (OPVD), which has reinforced its presence in Spanish naval bases in the area. The objective is to strengthen security in the Balearic and Alboran Seas, as well as in the Strait of Gibraltar, according to an official statement from the Navy. The mission will conclude on July 31.
The Furor vessel's mission is to guarantee the comprehensive protection of waters of Spanish sovereignty and national interest. It operates as part of the Maritime Operational Command (MOM) and under the control of the Commander of the Operations Command (MOPS). In this mission, it has undertaken maritime security operations, including maritime traffic verification and control activities to ensure freedom of navigation.
The BAM Furor is carrying a specialized Marine Operational Security Team (EOS) on board this time, significantly strengthening its operational potential during the mission. This significantly increases its maritime protection and interdiction capabilities.
In addition to its mission in the Strait, the Furor will carry out various activities to reach out to the public , as it did on June 24 and 25, when it made a technical stop in the port of Algeciras, during which it opened its doors to the public.
