Remittances sent by Mexicans from the U.S. fell 16.2%.

MEXICO CITY.- In June, when the United States government intensified raids against migrants , mainly in Los Angeles, California , remittances held up and remained above $5 billion .
However, they had a monthly decline at an annual rate compared to June 2024 , according to data from the Bank of Mexico (Banxico).
The Mexican central bank reported that in the sixth month of 2025, remittances sent by Mexicans, primarily from the U.S., totaled $5.201 billion.
This represented a 16.2% drop compared to the record amount reached in the same month in 2024 of $6.213 billion.
However, for the second consecutive month they raised more than $5 billion.
Remittances plummet. In June, $5.2 billion arrived in Mexico, representing a year-over-year decline of 16.21%.
