The fear that artificial intelligence (AI) will destroy jobs "leads companies, and especially boards of directors, to make the worst possible decisions," according to business school professor Pablo Foncillas. One of the most common mistakes in this regard, he argues, is thinking that only certain industries need training in the subject or "confusing a language model like ChatGTP with all AI."

Another misconception is that if a task is automated, "the entire job disappears," the innovation communicator argues. "The real question isn't what jobs AI will replace, but how all jobs will evolve," he concludes.
